Carr suffers concussion in Panthers loss

11/05/2007 - Charlotte, NC (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Carolina Panthers quarterback David Carr suffered a concussion in the team's 20-7 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, head coach John Fox said Monday.

At his press conference, Fox also said Carr is still being evaluated for next Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. Carr was injured after taking a shot to the head from Titans defensive tackle Tony Brown with three minutes left in the fourth quarter, and was replaced by Matt Moore.

To that point, Carr was 15-of-27 passing for 107 yards with one touchdown and an interception.

The Panthers' quarterback position remains unstable, with Vinny Testaverde hurting after an Achilles tendon strain, and Carr dealing with his second ailment in a month -- he missed a start in October with a back injury.

Jake Delhomme, the team's starter at the beginning of the season, is out for the season with an elbow injury.

The Wings will look to offensive powerhouse Pavel Datsyuk and newly appointed captain Nicklas Lidstrom to lead one of the league's most prominent franchises.
