H-O-R-S-E play: Johnson, Durant, Mayo to play in All-Star wrinkle

02/10/2009 - New York, NY (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Atlanta Hawks guard Joe Johnson, Oklahoma City forward Kevin Durant and Memphis Grizzlies rookie O.J. Mayo were each selected to participate in a H-O-R-S-E competition on Saturday, a new addition to the NBA's All-Star weekend.

Johnson is the only All-Star selection of the three, with Durant and Mayo each participating in the rookie challenge, also to be played Saturday.

Each player will have 24 seconds to select a particular shot, and, if made, the next competitor must duplicate the effort or receive a letter. If a player receives all five letters of the word H-O-R-S-E, that player is eliminated.

No dunking will be allowed in the contest, which will be played outdoors at the NBA's All-Star Block party in Phoenix.

Entering Tuesday's action, Durant leads the trio in scoring with 25.5 points per game, with Johnson and Mayo checking in at 21.4 and 19.4 ppg, respectively.
